I'm SO excited! I signed up for a spinning class at Knitch. I've been OH, SO tempted to try my hand at this because of all the spinners that I know. Granted, the last think I need is another obsessive, compulsive hobby but the thought of actually spinning my own yarn and then knitting something out of it is just too tempting. Maybe I won't like it.....or maybe I won't be able to learn how to do it......or maybe I'll be sitting by the fire spinning on my very own spinning wheel. OH.....did I really say that?

Jenna Claus
As most of you already know, I'm here in South Florida for the Christmas Holiday. Jenna was quite ready to listen for the sound of reindeer's hooves on the roof and that all familiar "Ho, Ho, Ho!"
Rocky was just happy to lap up all of the milk & cookies that were left for Santa.
How do I OPEN this package! It's cat proof! I KNOW it's mine.....
Marty about to cut into the cake he got as a gift for Jenna. Ya think it's BIG enough??From left to right: Morgan Jenna, Katie, Kylie with baby Amanda Sue.
This is how we all felt at the end of the day.

June Bug & Santa
Has Anyone Seen This Scarf?
I took a class several years ago at a LYS and knitted this scarf. The instructor took the pattern out of a book and gave us copies of the pattern (which she shouldn't have done) and I would love to find this book. I think she only had the store copy and had forgotten to order enough for the class participants to buy. I have no idea the name or the author. If anyone has seen this pattern and knows the book it came from please let me know. Of all the knitters out there someone MUST recognize this!

This was taken several years ago. It was Rocky's 1st Christmas and it seems as if he thought that HE was one of the ornaments.
I can't tell you how many ornaments had to be swept off the floor that year.At first we didn't see him in there. Arlene was looking at the tree with a strange look and I asked her what was wrong. She said, "My tree is shaking!" Then we saw the culprit. Rocky LOVED the tree and slept in there for hours each day. Thank God Princess didn't go up in there. She weighs over 20 lbs. She's a BBC, isn't she?

What A Contest!
Gosh! How could I pass up a chance to win a cookbook entitled " I'm Dreaming of a Chocolate Christmas" by Marcel Desaulniers and Ron Manville. My mouth is watering as I type.
Debb announced this contest on her blog and I couldn't put up this notice fast enough for her to see!
HERE is a link to the site and look for the post on November 28th.
I hope I win, very unselfishly, because I'll be making all kinds of chocolate things for my friends and family if I do.

Party, Party!
from left to right: Melissa, Claudia, me, Regan, & Beth
What happens when 2 great gals organize a Holiday party? A GREAT PARTY, that's what happens. Claudia and Jacquie invited a bunch of their knitting & spinning friends for a Holiday party at Jacquie's home and it was such wonderful day. For me it was so good to see a bunch of friends I haven't seen for quite awhile and from the smiles and laughter I know that everyone had an outstanding time. The food was ultra yummy. Claudia & Jacquie made the BEST lasagna and meatballs & everyone brought some goodies to share. THEN there was the Gift Swap which was much milder than I had imagined. Everyone brought in a gift, got a number and when it was your turn you either picked a gift or STOLE someone else's! All in all it was surprisingly orderly and utterly hilarious! There were about 25 people there, several Shih-Tzus, and 2 adorable kittens (who by the way need a home if anyone is interested). They'd make a great Holiday gift.....fit right in a stocking, hanging on the mantle.......
Multidirectional scarf using Noro Silk Garden Lite. . It's a simple pattern and the look of the scarf is really nice.
I finally finished this reversable cable scarf, made with Blue Sk Suri Merino
